“New and Improved” Indiana DNR Guidelines- now all natural without artificial colors or flavors!

Thanks to Deermark for the head’s up on the official page with the new Indiana Department of Natural Resources Geocaching Guidelines.  It looks like on or around November 6th the big red button will be pushed and all caches on DNR property will be archived.  “I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.”  or at least that’s how many people are reacting to this.  Personally as someone who has a permitted cache at a state park I’m curious how the re-permitting process will go, but looking at the location of my cache, and since it is a puzzle, I’ll probably just run over and pick it up, giving a new cacher the chance to place one.  Only time will tell if this will be something terrible or… hmmm… anyone want to help me finish this line?

Please note the Caching With Abe Weekend series of events at Lincoln State Park will be occurring before the big button is pushed.

About Bruce

I am cartoonist by night and public school teacher by day. After introducing caching to my wife in 2005 I was left in the dust and in decided to assist Cecil-Evil GeoCaching Monkey on his quest for world domination (in 2009 my wife requested I no longer log any caches under "our" name). I have taken Cecil caching around the country (& England) to many events and have even picked up the Triad (& have the coin to prove it). One of my favorite caches is "Get A Life" GCZJ5Z in the same vein I also enjoyed getting Batman's Batcave & The Gorn's Lair.
